A research-informed fitness class created specifically for people living with Parkinson’s. Each class builds strength, balance, agility, coordination, and voice in a safe, encouraging community. Always non-contact, always coach-supervised.
What a Typical Class Looks Like (60 minutes)
Arrival & Check-In
Arrive 5-10 minutes before class. You’ll be welcomed by a coach, check energy levels, and get fitted with wraps and gloves.
Warm-Up & Mobility
Gentle stretches and movements prepare your body, improve posture, and get your blood flowing.
Skill Practice
Learn and practice footwork, balance, and boxing basics on bags and mitts. We also add fun drills to improve coordination, reaction, and voice projection.
Strength & Conditioning
Safe, progressive exercises like sit-to-stand, rows, presses, and light resistance work build strength and power.
Cool-Down & Recovery
Stretching and breathing exercises help your body recover and leave you feeling refreshed.

MONTHLY RATE

Come to as many classes as you want each month and keep building your progress. Your rate is locked in for life as long as you keep your membership active, so you will never pay more than you do today.
PUNCH CARD
$220/10 Classes
The standard Ballard Boxing Punch card, which can be an economical way to attend classes if you plan to attend less than 5 classes a month.
DROP-IN
$30
Drop-ins are always welcome. Stop by for any class for a low, single fee. No commitment required!

Anyone living with Parkinson’s, at any stage, and seniors who want guided exercise and community support. We adapt every move to meet your ability, whether you’re very active or need more assistance.

We’re easy to get to. There are four free parking spots directly outside the gym, all on the same level as the entrance. If those are full, there’s a larger pay-to-park lot about 100 yards away. The short walk is flat, with no stairs to navigate. The facility is wheelchair accessible, and the restrooms are on the same level.

Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy athletic shoes with good traction. Bring a water bottle and, if you have them, boxing gloves and wraps. If not, we provide loaner gloves for your first month.

No. You’ll learn stance, guard, and punches step by step. Many of our participants have never boxed before. The focus is movement, rhythm, strength and fun.

Yes. We keep class sizes small and always provide seated or supported options. Coaches are trained to adapt exercises for your energy levels of that day. Our goal is to help you feel successful and confident in every class.

Yes. We encourage you to consult your doctor before beginning. Most providers support this kind of exercise because of the proven benefits for mobility, balance, and overall health.

We recommend 2–3 times per week for the best results. Consistency helps maintain mobility, improve energy, and boost confidence. Even one class a week will make a difference if that’s what fits your schedule.

That’s normal, and we expect it. Coaches will help you pause, reset, and continue safely.

Yes. Classes include call-and-response and voice projection exercises. Many participants notice stronger voices, clearer speech, and more confidence in social situations.

We do simple progress checks twice a year like timing a short walk or sit-to-stand exercise. Most participants also feel everyday improvements, like more energy climbing stairs or carrying groceries.

Yes. Caregivers are welcome to observe, aid or participate.

Located just off Market Street near Gilman Playfield.

Accessibility: The entire facility is on one level with wide entryways and clear walkways that can accommodate walkers, canes, and wheelchairs.
Bathrooms: Accessible restrooms are on the same level as the gym floor with no stairs.
Neighborhood: The entrance is quiet and easy to find, with no storefronts or heavy foot traffic.
Our goal is to make getting here and moving around the facility simple and stress-free so you can focus on the class itself.
Post Class Information
What should I do after class?
Be sure to hydrate and fuel your body! Drink water and/or electrolytes and make sure to eat some healthy protein and starch.
Where can I get my own gear?
We sell wraps and gloves on site and in our app. However here are some links for items we recommend:
